I live in a fairly mix area and I barely see any black chick with curly hair...but what is with TV commercials, most of them show that black girl with curly hair who is dark enough to score that diversity buck, but not so dark to scare away you know閳?the 閳ユ笧acist dollar閳?..

It's most likely a weave or wig. I hate the fact that black girls don't go natural n e more feeling like having long straight weaves or curly weaves make them blend into the white world. it's sad but what can you do. If you want a career in the film industry you have to give them what they want and that's black girls with European hair.

um, most of the time its a wig. i guess curly hair makes a 'black' woman seem less black, which it does considering that braids or having their hair natural would make them more so. Many 'black' women do have curly hair though, my sister and cousins do... its cute too i guess
