Do people with curly hair think about sex more than those with straight hair?

Hear me out...

My friend Tom claims that curly hair is as a result of higher levels of testosterone naturally occurring in the body and that as such those with curly hair think about sex more (on average) than those with straight hair. I have curly hair and would definitely back this up. However a statistic based on just me isn't rigorous scientific proof for most people...

Biologically/scientifically, could this theory be sustained? Are there any studies to uphold it? [If you are a scientist working on this premise, might I be able to join you?]

Why don't you go out into the street with a clipboard and ask them?

Do people with curly hair think about sex more than those with straight hair?

does it really matter?!?!?

Do people with curly hair think about sex more than those with straight hair?

Yep I back this up too! I have curly hair and a high sex drive and think about sex more than others I reckon lol apparently if you have curly hair it means you have been born without the chemical in your body for straight hair, didn't know about the link with sex! interesting :D

Do people with curly hair think about sex more than those with straight hair?

iv curly hair n its all i think bout

Do people with curly hair think about sex more than those with straight hair?

This is a ridiculous theory. There's a few theories for what causes curly hair (mostly having to do with the shape of the hair follicle or properties of the bonds between keratin proteins in the hair itself), but higher levels of testosterone has nothing to do with it. Else men would have more curly hair than women, no? Also, I have straight hair, and I have a hard time imagining anyone thinks about sex more than I do. Anecdotal evidence means nothing.

Do people with curly hair think about sex more than those with straight hair?

Curly hair is not caused by elevated testosterone. Testosterone causes facial and body hair to be more curly, but it causes the follicles on the head to thin out and die off: elevated testosterone makes you bald.

The curliness and texture of hair is dicatated by the shape of the follicle, and by different versions of the keratin proteins that form hair.

I have curly hair. Great isn't it.

Tips for curly hair? *pics included*?

I recently went from relaxed to natural, and so far everything is good, but I expected to have afro textured hair, and instead my hair is very curly. I would compare it to Travis Mccoy from Gym Class Heroes, except it is not that curly! Any way, most african americans use hair grease or a pomade, but when I use this it actually causes my hair to break. I know my hair needs moisture, but grease or (pomemade) is not cutting it. Exactly what do you use for your hair and how often do you wash it. I have noticed that when it is wet, that the girls are very soft, but when it dries it is hella difficult. Here are some pics to show my texture. One is when it is dry and the other is when it is wet. Any tips are more than welcome

Well I work in the hair industry so I can tell you from professional experience that alot of African Americans have that problem where their hair break easily. :-(

It's not the grease and pommade that is making it break. Especially if you have had chemical process done to your hair the actual hair follicle becomes extremely weak.

I would recommend using higher end products in your hair though. As long as you maintain healthy hair and dont do anything drastic, thats the most important thing.

A big mistake that 95% of women make is using drug store brands in their hair.

If you want stronger and healthier hair, you have to get salon quality shampoos, conditioner and hair products.

I can recommend some great products for your hair.

For shampoo and conditioner I will give you a few choices. The best ones for your texture hair would be:

TIGI Bed Head Oatmeal and Honey shampoo and conditioner, Redken Smooth Down Shampoo and conditioner, or Goldwell Kerasilk shampoo and conditioner.

Then you need to use a good leave in conditioner in your hair every day. If you put grease in your hair it will moisture your hair BUT its very bad for your scalp and will actually do more harm then good.

For a leave in conditioner I recommend either TIGI Curls Rock Leave in moisturizer or Framesi Moist in conditioner (its a leave in).

These are great for giving you the foundation of healthy and moisturized hair.

As for how often to wash your hair, most African Americans wash their hair once a week but I would suggest twice a week to remove natural oil build up in the scalp. However, it really depends on how quickly your hair gets oily.

As for a styling product, you can use a styling serum which might help slightly define your curls and will also help moisturize. Alot of brands make serums. Its basically like a styling silicone oil (its not a grease though!!)

Also, the Redken Smooth Down line has a new product that has excellent results, its called Smooth Down Sleek Obedience anti-frizz solid serum. I highly recommend that!!

Ive been dealing with women with every single type texture hair for a few years now so I pride myself in helping people with their hair dilemas.

I hope my advice works.

Good luck!!! :-)

You can use creams and stuff like muse and if you can't really find any then go to a hair salon and ask for some creams or products you can maybe try

oh god i dont know what to say yo! sorry

I like ur hair. its pretty. You should grow it out and get cornrows or dread locks. that would be gorgous!

shampoo once a week.

get it wrapped or set.

sit under the dryer untill dry.

get it combed/brushed out and then use the pomade (only a tiny bit) and a flat iron OR get it pressed with a pressing cream.

beautifu 'run your fingers thru it' hair.

and PLEASE use good, professional shampoo and not the cheap over the counter store stuff.

Get rid of curly hair?

How can i get rid of naturally curly hair? i do not have long hair , it is pretty short actually. not a buzz but not past my ears. the problem is my hair gets very curly. i wear a hat sometimes but in school that is not allowed. after a few hours my hair gets curly and wavy and all that bad stuff. i was wondering how i can get rid of this. i cant use a straightener and i cant comb my hair a ton during school hours. is there a shampoo or something i could use? please help. it has been a problem for a long time for me

Get rid of curly hair?

You could Chemically straighten it or relax it. They can be expensive, but they works well.

umm...I use aveda and pantene products for straight hair. They do an okay job

I hope you find what you're looking for!

Get rid of curly hair?

my hair is short and black. but i am not want it

Get rid of curly hair?

Why can't u use a straightener? Maybe you could cut it very short, as close to your scalp as you can, my nephew's is like that and you can't even tell he has curly hair.

Get rid of curly hair?

Naturally curly hair is soo cute on guys though! If you must, getting a hair straightener like an expensive Chi is probably the only way to get it really straight.

Get rid of curly hair?

since you have naturally curly hair, the only way you can have it straight for a long while, even after washing you hair, is getting it permed. However, when your natural hair grows out again, it will be curly again. so there is no real way that you can 'get rid of ' your natural hair.

Get rid of curly hair?

hey don't worry, mine only also is curly, but my friends like it.. and i also have urs problem

Get rid of curly hair?

What's wrong with curly? Or do you live somewhere humid? Whatever you do, DO NOT relax it.

I have curly hair, and I want it straight!?

I have really curly hair, they're ringlets. Although I do like my hair curly I have opted for a short hair cut, its a longer version of a bob. I love it, but getting ready in the mornings is a hassle. I wanted to know how good do straightning perms work on curly hair. Would it be blow dry and go??

I have curly hair, and I want it straight!?

Your hair being curly and ringlets - how I would like that! I wouldn't change it - Take the time in the morning to keep it the way it is. I assure you -,straight hair when your hair is curly will be more of a hassle and I know it must be great the way it is! bettyk

I have curly hair, and I want it straight!?

i would just get a reely good straightner...i recemend a chi its expensive but it works REALLY WELL!!

I have curly hair, and I want it straight!?

i never had curly hair, my hair is so straight that when i curl it, it falls flat in about... 3 minutes.

but for the most part you could get the perm that makes your hair straight.

you could cut it shorter (not the bob!) like maybe sholder lenghth, then when you staighten it, it wont take long.

buy a really good straigner, walmart has a good one for like less than $30. I use it all the time.

I have curly hair, and I want it straight!?

get a straightened perm at the salon. they work rele well

I have curly hair, and I want it straight!?

Listen.... everyone knows straight hair rocks. SO DUMP CURLY AND TAKE STRAIGHT! If it is a pain in the morning with straight put your hair in a braid. I have a dragon birthmark on my arm.

I have curly hair, and I want it straight!?

you can try a good straighter or maybe flat iron it

I have curly hair, and I want it straight!?

Getting it relaxed professionally at a salon is probably the best thing you could do. It is a bit expensive but i think it lasts for 4-6 months. My hair isn't ringlets, but it's wavy, think, and puffy, so I'm considering getting it relaxed. You could straighten it every morning but that would be just as much of a hassle as what you have going on now. Personally, I love ringlets. They're adorable, and although they might be a ***** to take care of, I think it's worth it. Whatever you decide, I'm sure your hair will look great.

I have curly hair, and I want it straight!?

I, too, have really curly, thick hair. I found that what worked best for me was the Japanese hair straightening system. Although it takes a lot longer and is more expensive than conventional straighteners, it is far more effective. I've been getting it done for nearly three years, and I love how my hair looks now. My life has become much simpler. It is blow dry and go-in fact, you often don't need to blow dry at all.

Cheers!

I have curly hair, and I want it straight!?

The Japanese straightening systems are the best but not every salon does them. Even with that though, most of the time it's not blow dry and go. I have naturally curly hair and I use a Chi Rocket professional blow dryer and my hair will dry straight but it will still be poofy and frizzy. I don't think there is a way to get around purchasing a good straightener.

I have curly hair, and I want it straight!?

How about you buy some good straightners

and straightening serum this'll keep it straighter for longer.

But personally, having naturally dead straight hair I love ringlets :]

They're so cute

I have curly hair, and I want it straight!?

You can buy a hair straightener that blow dries AND straightens your hair at the same time...they definetly get your hair straight but they thin it out A LOT. Or you can just blow dry and then use a regular hair straightener :)

My hair is quite curly on the ends, i want to like it, help!?

My hair has always been real curly. About a year ago I straightened it every week 2-3 times, but it was causing too much damage so i stopped.

I look at other people with curly hair and think, how the hell do they make it look so good!!! My hair isnt frizzy but i just need styles that are more like WOW...............

I've always been told i have beautiful hair but never agreed. I need a way to like my hair without destroying it.

HELP!!

My hair is quite curly on the ends, i want to like it, help!?

Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner for a good start. When hair is damp put in a volumizing or curling moose (Herbal Essences Totally Twisted works well) mixed with a little bit of Anti-Frizz Cream (Herbal Essences None of your Frizzness leave in is nice) into your hair and comb through with a wide tooth comb. For a few different styles you can scrunch with your hands or twist sections around your fingers and let it air dry for a softer style. Another option is to do either (scrunch or twist) and use a blow dryer with a cone attachment and dry from the ends up vertically.

Curly--->Straight hair?

I have semi curly hair, and I hate it, I want straight hair.

I am a guy so straight irons are out of the question lol...how can I get straight hair? In this day and age, as a teen, curly brown hair seems obsolete =(

Curly---%26gt;Straight hair?

Go to a salon %26amp; ask about having it relaxed. From what I remember, it's a perm-type solution that they comb through to relax the curl. That was years ago, for me though. I've learned to deal with my curls!

Curly---%26gt;Straight hair?

perm you hair if you have short hair it will take a short time. they put white solutin in your hair. ask not to put it near your scalp because it will burn

Curly---%26gt;Straight hair?

Maybe a buzz or crew cut would work.

Curly---%26gt;Straight hair?

Theres the option of getting your hair chemically straightened. My hair is chemically straightened and i relly like it coz i can finally wake up in the mornings and just leave my hair as is!

It might cost you anywhere between $70-$150, depending on where you go. It costs practically the same as a straightening iron...but this lasts until your hair grows it out or the minimum of 6 months that it should last.

However, once youve gotten it permanently straightened, there are some rules to help maintain it.

I know i coudnt shampoo within the first 3 days...so only conditioner. You also cant dye your hair, use hairdryers/heat styling and you cant plait, braid, tie it up etc.

Curly---%26gt;Straight hair?

You could straighten your hair, it's not just for girls... unless your hair is too short, that is... But you could blow dry it, which won't make it stick straight or anything, but it won't be so curly. But I think you should learn to like your curly hair. Some girls like it.

Curly---%26gt;Straight hair?

well..if you don't want to chop it all off..then i would go to a hairplace or salon and get it relaxed.

it basically means just taking the curl and frizz out of your hair.

It only last for awhile thought..so it would be a thing you would have to keep up.

Goodluck..:)

Curly---%26gt;Straight hair?

You can't, just leave it. Guys with semi curly hair are hot.

Curly---%26gt;Straight hair?

there's nothing wrong with using a flat iron...i'm a guy and i use one, it's no big deal.

Curly---%26gt;Straight hair?

First of all, are you sure you will look better in straight hair? To make sure, why don't you ask your stylist to iron your hair with a flat iron first? See if you like the look. If you do like it, then you can always have it permanently straightened. However, it will only last six months. I had mine done and i love it! I think you should go for it.

Curly---%26gt;Straight hair?

try out some hard gel or if u hate that than try blow drying your hair with a flat brush.

Curly---%26gt;Straight hair?

You have a mixture of hair from both parents. I have the same mixture and I go with whatever my mood is because I'm blessed to be able to make the choice...you are too.

A professional hairstylist would be the best person to consult because you either would be prompted to go with one or the other, straight or curly. Either way you'll probably look nice, it's your choice and they'll be delighted in helping you decide.

Curly hair is not to be considered obsolete if that's what you were born with. Just like straight hair could not be considered to be obsolete.

Just be who you are...it'll keep you in a STAND OUT POSITION..and a leader in your own right.

Who wants to look like everyone else ???

The choice to wear your hair straight or curly would be considered a "TREND", and are only for a season.

If it is said, and you agree with them, from the, " FASHION WORLD," that for this summer, 2007, everybody should adopt wearing their hair straight or vice verse; wearing purple hair for the fall or orange hair for Halloween is also considered a trend.

Wearing your hair long or short is considered fashionable, and has a lot to do with your choice and articles of clothing to go along with your chosen hair style.

FASHIONS AND TRENDS ARE SEASONAL, HOPEFULLY, YOUR HAIR STAYS FOREVER. :).

It sounds as if no matter what you decide it will be a hit. Let us know.

Curly---%26gt;Straight hair?

All you have to do is blow dry your hair after showering. I don't know if you would like blow dryong -- since your a guy, but the heat from the dryer make your hair straight.

Stright hair wont go curly!?

ok well i have always flat ironed my hair but recentley i have gotton into the more curly hair look. Well everytime i curl my hair like seriousley 25 minutes later its perfectley stright again. Can you give me some tips on how to keep my hair curly? I would use hairspray but i hate the way it makes my hair feel. Thanks!

Stright hair wont go curly!?

ok, there is some mousse you can try by Herbal Essence called "Totally Twisted". It works well. I hope it works for you. =]

Stright hair wont go curly!?

One thing that I would use is a thick hair spray so then it keeps the curls....that is all I can think of. Maybe you can try different hair sprays to see which one you don't really feel. Good luck!

Stright hair wont go curly!?

we have the same name and the same problem, you could try crimping it, use foam hair spray and turn yer head over while scrunching it . orrr. use garnier fruitcis curl activator

Stright hair wont go curly!?

use other types of product, i have the same problem but i usually use hairspray... use like mousse or something your hair just needs something in it because otherwise your hair is too clean and it needs to be more "dirty" in order for it to stay

Stright hair wont go curly!?

Some people's hair just won't hold a curl. I have this same problem. If you want your hair to hold a curl, you're going to have to get familiar and friendly with some hair products: curl enhancing shampoo and conditioner, mousse, texturizing spray, and yes, hairspray. Also, you'll need sponge curlers in various sizes. You do not need a curling iron for this.

First, you have to start in the shower with a curl enhancing shampoo and conditioner. Post-shower, gently pat your hair to remove excess moisture, then apply curl enhancing mousse from root to tip. Next, blow dry your hair until its 95% dry. Afterwards, take 1" sections and roll them into the sponge curlers of varying sizes: start with the curler perpendicular to the floor (up-and-down) and roll your hair into the curler. By using different sized curlers, the curls will look more natural. Once your entire hair is in curlers, blast your hair with the blow dryer on high for a few minutes. Afterwards, mist your hair with the texturizer. This will help ensure that your hair holds a curl. You can either leave these in for at least 1 hour, or for best results, leave them in for several hours or sleep in them.

When you decide to take them out, remove then carefully, then flip your head upside down and shake the curls. Gently mist your hair with hairspray so the curls don't come undone.

Curly hair @ school?

I'm like the only girl in my grade that has REALLY REALLY curly hair? Like every day I put it into a pony, bun, or braids. Should I start to show my curls or should I try and buy a hair strighter or keep doing it in a pony, bun, or braids? My friends think I should show my curls...what do you think? Would guys like curly hair? ***The only down side of showing my curls is that I have to wake up extra early in the moring, but I'd like to get some sleep befor school.***

Curly hair @ school?

try different things, one day wear it curly, one day wear it back. one day wear it straight. i have naturally curly hair, people pay tons of money too have curly hair, show it off girl!

Curly hair @ school?

show your curls

Curly hair @ school?

i have curly hair also.. and i came to school with them one day cuz i always wore it up also and everyone loved it.. just do new or creative things everyday... people will notice

Curly hair @ school?

do wateva u think looks best....as long as the curls arent frizzy and u have them controlled...it'll look fine. I have curlii hair too

Curly hair @ school?

I would show them off. In school-assuming this is hight school-so many girls try to look the same and they all just blend together. If you show your curls, it will definitely help you stand out and you'll be happier because of it.

Good luck!

Curly hair @ school?

I think that you should totally show them off!!! But you could always try different hairstyles throughout the week. [[What I would do]]

You know, one day curly, the other straight, another pulled back ... halfway up.....you get what I'm saying?

Curly hair @ school?

Dont feel like you have to look like evryone else. I have curly hair too, and all my firneds have straight hair. They are always telling me how they are so sick of their boring hair. Don't be ashamed of the curls!

Curly hair @ school?

Show off your natural hair, guys like curly hair shows you are wild. You never know you may just start a new trend amongst your grade.

Curly hair @ school?

Your hair sounds beautiful.

Guys are horny beasts and they don't care if you are bald or wearing a weave.

Try it one morning (like a Monday) and see if everyone likes it. You don't have to wear it down everyday, just every now and then for variation.

If you want it straight, try a CERAMIC flat iron. Only ceramic (you will need anti-frizz and anti-humidity properties of the ceramic)

Curly hair @ school?

Haha, I'm just like you, although I had always straightened my hair, but one night I had to work really late and hadn't had the time to straighten it and the next morning all my friends told me I should stay like that... I prefer to use my hair straightener though (if you buy one, especially if you have ultra curly hair, go for a CHI one, they're expensive, but you won't have to buy a thousand cheap ones like I did before I realized it was less expensive to invest once!) Still, when I'm too busy I keep my hair curly. I only think it's less manageable and you have less possibilities, but people seem to think it look nicer!

So go as you feel! You can alternate, you know!

Curly hair @ school?

try it see wat other people think and u can maybe even get a guy who likes curly hair. well u never will find out until u try??

Curly hair @ school?

No don't do that SHOW UR CURLY HAIR lol! Be different then everyone else! I have really really curly hair too and there are more people at my school with curly hair too but they staighten some days! So that makes me different! Be different then everyone else! ooo well then sleep sooner lol! or figure out wat u want to do with ur hair before u go to sleep so in the morning ur not wondering what should I do with it today!

Curly hair @ school?

Do whatever is easiest and looks best. If you're not comfortable showing your curls without giving them a lot of preparation, you might want to forget about showing them off every day. I'd suggest trying to let your curls go natural. As a guy, I think it's hot when girls don't try so hard to make themselves look cute, whether their hair is naturally straight, curly, wavy, or anything in between.

HELP!! Curly hair products ...?

I have mixed hair .. my mom is indian and trini and my dad's cuban .. so i have really wavy /curly hair .. ai love my curly hair but sumtimes it gets dry n frizzy n looses its bouncy curly effect can u recommend a product plzzzzzzz

HELP!! Curly hair products ...?

I was having the same problem. I am irish and black so I can relate :) I started using these products called Curl Collective by Donna Marie and they helped out my curls alot and their products are all natural.

Curly hair problem!!!!?

I have quite curly hair ( i need alot of mouse and to diffuse it to make it curly) only cos ive dyed it quite a bit. it used to be really long but it was in bad condition so i decieded to have it cut. i asked for it under my shoulders with short layers so it had more body and she cut it one length so now it goes triangle shape and frizzy!

my friend is telling me to leave it and let it grow but i dunno whether to get the layers and have it shorter!!!

What should i do!

also does a straight fringe with curly hair look wierd???

Curly hair problem!!!!?

Definitely get it cut shorter with layers. If you keep it all one length, it will look like crap until it gets very long. If it's shorter with layers, it will look good now and while it grows out.

Curly hair problem!!!!?

Let it grow and start all over.

Curly hair problem!!!!?

I had your problem...I would cut layers into it. Maybe try going to a different stylist, though. I'm not sure what your second question is asking exactly, sorry!

Curly hair problem!!!!?

can i ask what was the specific brand you use for your hair to have it tamed and to pevent frizz? thanks ydz_pt@yahoo.com

Curly hair problem!!!!?

I have long and extremely curly hair and have had the same problems, but since I've learned how to manage it, I get nothing but complements on how non frizzy my hair is. Here is my recommendation (at least its worked for me). 1) Do not cut your hair in layers. This is a big mistake for curly hair as it does not weigh your curls down, but make them puffier. Let your hair grow one length. 2) Mouse is good, but you also want to add some gel as well, when it is wet. Remember to only pick or add hair products with your fingers. This will form locks of curls and not seperate each hair. Seperating each hair strand makes your hair look frizzy eventhough texturly it is not. and 3) when blow drying (even if using a defuser), stretch your curls as you blow dry, by grabbing a section of hair and slightly pulling. Do not run your fingers through your hair or curls at this point. Once your hair is mostly dry, then you can begin to scrunch it to add a little bounce. 4) To finish off, spray a light hair spray and scrunch... you are ready to go. Well, this is my two cents and how I do it and what I have passed on to many of my curly haired friends. It seems to work. Good luck and Happy Holidays!

Curly hair problem!!!!?

let it grow n then decide.

probably long layers wud suit u. good luck

Curly hair problem!!!!?

I have naturally curly and thick hair just above my shoulders and if I don't have layers cut into it, it looks like a triangle too! Ask your stylist to use thinning shears to get rid of some of the bulk. The right styling products should help with the frizz.

Curly hair problem!!!!?

Oh Emma- ah the joys of curly hair.

To answer your question is you have to find what kind of curl you have and cut accordingly. I have Irish curl, so the best for me is long layers, and for my curl, the longer my hair gets the curlier it becomes. The shorter the frizzier, so if you are at all Irish this may help. Another thig I have found is only go to hair dresssers who have curly hair. It is IMPOSSIBLE to explain to one with straight hair.

A book I will reccomend to you is "Curly Girl" by Lorraine Massey- it is a great resourse, also go to www.naturallycurly.com is an excellent culry haven and the have a section that you can located a hair stylist in your area that other curlies have tried.

Curly hair problem!!!!?

Ever consider straightening it? There are some great products. If it is resistant and you don't have a lot of money to spent. Try John Freida straightening cream, add some shine syrum alll when towel dried. Use an inexpensive wet to dry straightener and a teasing comb at the roots once dry where you want some volume. Be generous with the straightening cream when using it with the wet dry.

People with curly hair&&hair experts help please?

I have curly hair, and I chemically straighten it every 2-3 months. My hair is starting to grow back now, and being the stupid teenager I am I cut my bangs myself, and since my curly hair is growing back my bangs wont fall to my face..instead it stick out!

How can I straighte my hair, or at least calm it down so it will fall to my face?! Please help me I feel like I've commited a sin, my hair is like my life...Thank you very much in advance :]

I forgot to mention..I dont have enough money to buy any products, really!

And I dont own a flat iron!

People with curly hair%26amp;%26amp;hair experts help please?

yikes, i have curly hair too.

my best advice would be to try and curl in inwards (circular motion towards face) with a curling iron if you have one, or even something circular that you can use overnight.

and if worse comes to worse buy some barettes and pin them back tight, and let your hair come around it like this:

http://thehillsblog.com/wp-content/uploa...

ive made the same mistake many times, dont worry.

People with curly hair%26amp;%26amp;hair experts help please?

if you have a blow dryer then dry your hair with it in the way you want it to fall.you can use a hair dyer as a straightener as well.

People with curly hair%26amp;%26amp;hair experts help please?

I know you don't have much money, but if your hair is really curly and not just slightly wavy, a blow dryer isn't enough heat. Blow dryers make my curly hair straight, but they also make it really dry and puffy.

If you really can't afford it, then you need to comb your bangs as straight as possible and then use a roller to hold them in the correct position all night. Over time, they will get "trained" and start doing the correct direction by theirself.

People with curly hair%26amp;%26amp;hair experts help please?

Okay heres some stuff that works great for flattening hair.

Add about a tablespoon of olive oil to your damp hair ( focus of your bangs.) then wash it out after leaving it in your bangs for about 20 mins. then rinse your bangs really good. then take a brush your hair down when your bangs down when you blow dry after you get out of the shower. this works great! and it costs nothing. if you need anymore help please feel free to e-mail me id be more then happy to help you out :-) Merry christmas!

Tips for curly hair :)?

I have been gifted.. or cursed with curly hair :P

Currently i wake up eveymorning and wet my hair... comb it through with my fingers and add some garnier fructis "sleek and shine"... i let my hair air dry and it comes out okay.. curly and with minumum frizz.. however it is getting pretty monotonous o.O

so i was wondering for all of my fellow curly haired friends, if there were any products that you completely fell in love with... it really doesnt matter what, but i was just wondering what i could use to change things up a bit

whether its a sraightening shampoo, curl definition, anti-fizz, anything really :)..

you can just tell me of a product youve fell in love with, what it does and/or the outcome looks like, and what its for (straigtening, anti frizz, ect.)

oh btw, i have dirty blonde hair just barely reaching my shoulders... i do not straighten it much because it is VERY thin and really shows when straight.. and it also frizzes at the first sign of humidity thx :)

Tips for curly hair :)?

i have curly hair that i used to feel cursed with also. i found that changing products each time makes your hair look good. I only can explain it like your hair gets too used to the one thing and it doesnt work as well. so i get mousse then when it runs out i get gel. also i like to spray my hair after i put those in with a spray gel instead of a hairspray. it doubles the hold and works better for me. the gels i use are L.A. Looks in the yellow color or the blue(sport hold), D.E.P. in blue is also pretty good. I have become very fond of the new line of herbal essence products for mousse. its in a purple color can. the set me up spray in the blue or teal color bottle is a good spray from them also. other good spray gels are the garnier fructis and the loreal. also dont be shy to put alot of product in if your hair is truely curly "cursed" like mine, cuz i def found more is better with my hair and it also ensures that it gets in every section of your hair. when i use gel, i sometimes put alot in and then brush it through and it helps get everywhere evenly. i dont know if any one or couple of certain brands work better really cuz even if i buy the cheapest like suave, it does ok. i think its more the combo of gel/mousse and the spray gel instead of reg hairspray. but if you use reg hairspray get the pump not aerosal and dont use it sparingly.

when you get done with this process (which actually doesnt take long) if you feel like it( i rarely do, but it looks better) use a blow dryer just to take that wet ewww feeling off and scrunch as your blow drying which makes the curls look better to me. also a quick blow over with the cool setting sets the curls. good tip if your away with out your blowdryer is to let a fan blow your hair for a min or two to set it.

sorry for the long answer but i have always had a curse of curly hair. when i was in jr high i had a short cut and hadnt discovered "products" yet and everyone teased me by calling me mushroom cuz it poofed out big and frizzy all around like the top of a mushroom. i didnt even figure out what to do with it to make it look good instead of just presentable until i was out of highschool. so i feel i could share my long time lessons learned and help. i only wish someone told me tips too. :)!!!

Good Luck

if its anything like my hair you'll need it. lol.

Tips for curly hair :)?

get that horse shampoo and conditioner from Drakes order magazine in the mail...then shampoo it and condition it really really well then straight it and if you want you can crimp it...GL!

YAHH!! something i can finally ******* answer its eaither a bar of soap Hairspray or aquanet a few min with a blow dryer and your golden.

Curly hair tips??????

my hair used to be super frizzy, curly/wavy,and poofy but now i know how to make it better but it would be nice if you guys could give me some tips on how to enhance my culrs(i want my hair super curly because mines is wavy/curly so it looks like its confused)

Curly hair tips??????

I used to have the same exact problem with my poofy frizzy curls. Yes, the drugstore stuff CAN work really well. Herbal Essences Totally Twisted shampoo, conditioner, and styling mousse work so well! I wash my hair with shampoo and conditioner, then flip my head upside down and scrunch it with the mousse. I flip my head back and fix the curls that are uneven and put some mousse (only a little, or else it will look crispy and greasy) on my roots. I then spray it with some hairspray, because by the end of the day my hair would poof no matter what. Spray any kind of hairspray that you have, then let it air dry and you're all set!

Curly hair tips??????

Try the John Freida hair glaze. It makes your hair super shiney, but not oily. Also, the chi products and Biosilk products work well to tame the frizz, but not make hair look oily.

Curly hair tips??????

Use mousse and scrunch :]

Curly hair tips??????

Put some mouse in your hair, and a little bit of lexible hold hairspray %26amp; dry your hair with a diffuser. It will definetly get curly...... Wavy curly is still cute though, so don't stress to much.

Curly hair tips??????

They sell products at like Sally's and even Wal-Mart that u can use that do exactly that....make ur hair get curly. Try that.

Curly hair tips??????

Aussie mousse works miracles. (use the kind specifically for curly hair.) You can also use Treseme gel and scrunch. If you want to even it out, use a curling iron on random sections to make the curl more uniform.

Cutting curly hair?

Ive been straightening my hair for the last couple of years, as it is curly.I now want to have my curly hair style back, and i just wondered if hairdressers cut the hair a certain way, apart from layers to spring up the curl,as ive always had a dry cut when i've had the straight style, and now it doesnt seem as curly as it did, which is probably due to damage from heat, but also, should it be cut diffentley with the scissors now i want my curls back? I hope someone understands!

Cutting curly hair?

The best way to cut curly hair is with a razor. My overly straightened hair curled up a treat after being razor cut and still also looked really good when I straightened it.

Cutting curly hair?

i understand completely make sure that you tell the hairdressers exactly what it is that you want and i promise with in a day or two you will have your curls back, xx

Cutting curly hair?

are u crasyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...

Cutting curly hair?

I have thick curly hair, which like you, I have been straightening for the past few years, but now occasionly I like to have it curly.

Again, i've always had mine dry cut because i kept it straight, i'm sure that it would be cut differently if you wanted it curly, due to the different lengths you get with curls. some people with curly hair choose to have it cut when it's dry and straight, and will still have gorgeous curls after they wash it, and others have layers to allow the curls to hang nicely. So i suppose it's up to you!

My advice is to ask a hairdresser, i would imagine that they will tell you that yes, they'll cut your hair a different way if you want it curly, and most will listen to you and find a compromise between what styles you like and what they think will suit you best. I'm sure their advice/ knowledge far exceeds mine!

Cutting curly hair?

as long as you let your hairdresser know what you want they should cut it to the style you recommend

Cutting curly hair?

Try and find a picture of how you want it - coz they always manage to get it wrong don`t they ?!

Japanese Hair Straightening for very curly hair?

I have very kinky/tight curly hair that has been relaxed with a thio relaxer (perm) a year ago. It has also been dyed about 5 months ago with a semi-permanent dye. I do not brush, blow dry, wash every day or flat iron my hair and use a leave in conditioner every day. I dont know if this makes a difference, I am white (Italian) but my hair is fine and could be closer to African American hair. (I tend to think those who say this may just be ignorant but not sure.) Anyway, do you think Japanese hair straightening will work for me? Is it safe to do at this point? I was told that as long as I did not use a hydroxide relaxer, I could do it over a thio one. Have you had it done on your very curly hair? How did it come out? Will it be completely straight?...Thanks, I really hope this process can help me; my hair is such a mess all the time, it depresses me.

Japanese Hair Straightening for very curly hair?

yes u can since its already a year since u did hair relax, its pretty safe to do japanese hair streightening, u can even color it again before japanese hair straightening.....im sure u would look pretty. just one suggestion, please choose the best salon to do this for u, its very important!!!

Japanese Hair Straightening for very curly hair?

Stick with the Chi straightener. I use Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner that straightens. They also have a nice straightening/heat protector. Try that before you shoot for chemicals.

Japanese Hair Straightening for very curly hair?

that calls for a PERM....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but dont do it too often because it damages your hair

HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!

I have naturally curly hair.. what about you?

I have curly hair, BUT I love my hair when it's straight, it just takes too much time to do it. On the other hand, when I wear it curly, I have to wash it like everyday and that sometimes dries my hair up. After I wash my hair, I comb it then add sauve curling mousse, then diffuse it for like ten minutes. I was curious as to what you do when you wear your hair curly, and what hair products you use?

I have naturally curly hair.. what about you?

i have natural curly hair and have found salon quality products keep it much nicer, straped on cash? go to supper cuts and look on there clearance rack and your sure to find something great and cheap as drug store brands if not cheaper

I have naturally curly hair.. what about you?

try john frieda frizz ease.

i have naturally straight hair, but when my hair was permed, that stuff was the best.

I have naturally curly hair.. what about you?

buy a striaght iron and use it to make your hair striaght

I have naturally curly hair.. what about you?

mee 2!!! yes, i wear my hair curly and i use garnier fructis curl constructor mousse and suave hairspray .

I have naturally curly hair.. what about you?

I use Suave mega hold gel (the blue kind) it's a big bottle and it's less than a dollar at walmart and I get TONS of compliments! You should def. try it. :)

I agree on the straight hair taking forever thing though.. I like straight hair for a change because I can run my fingers through it and brush it and all.. but it takes hours and if there's any chance of rain, it frizzes up.

So, I just stick with curly for the most part.

Hope I helped!

I have naturally curly hair.. what about you?

when i want my hair to be straight, since it's curly, i wash it the day before and wear it in a tight ponytail [since it's just above shoulder length, the ends don't stay very curly] and the next day, i work a couple drops of shine serum through it and use my flatiron or a big curling iron to straighten it.

I have naturally curly hair.. what about you?

I use Garnier Fructis Curl up gel and Curl (semi-gel) hairspray. It really seems to work, and there are special instructions for different styles of curls on the package. It is a lot cheaper than salon products, but still seems to give the same look. I actually like it better because it gives less frizz, and isn't as stiff. Plus, it makes my hair shinier and lots softer.

Curly hair massacre!?

Okay, my hair is like real jawline short. I streighten it ever morning! But this weekened I am getting babtized, listen I know its a rediculous question but if my hair gets wet it gets real curly, like Shirly Timple curly, it looks real bad on me too. So if anyone out there could plz give me some advise on how 2 keep my hair strieght somehow? Or am I screwed?

Curly hair massacre!?

I would suggest this:

http://www.americarx.com/Products/19351....

Curly hair massacre!?

hmm.. well ur catholic i c.. not that that has anything to do with the question.. but yea.. go get a stightening perm.. it should keep it stright for awhile and you wont have to worry about if it gets wet and curls up or strightening it every morning.. idk, if you like your curls and want to keep them.. but you could get a semi-perm if you want them back later.. hope this hellps! = ] good luck, and congrats!

Curly hair massacre!?

I would say that there isn't much of a chance of your hair staying straight. Try scrunching your hair with hair spray and gel. That way, it'll just look cute and beachy after you get baptised. You could also try putting your hair in a cute pony tail or braids.

And congradulations on getting baptised! Thats wonderful %26amp; have fun with it=].

Curly hair massacre!?

umm; well your pretty much screwed!!

unless your gonna wear a shower/swimming cap!!

that would keep your hair dry and straight.

but since its a religious thing.

dont worry about it and you just deal with it since your doing it for your religion and faith!!

Curly hair massacre!?

Curly is great! I have naturally curly hair and wear it both ways. How fun is that to change your look whenever you want! After your baptism just put a dap of curl enhacing liquid or get in it. Maybe use a scarf/bandana or a few bobby pins to pin it up out of your face. Super cute.

and...avoid using too much product or one that is too heavy. I use matrix curl life

Styling curly Hair.?

What is a good way to style curly hair. I have a layererd bob and naturally curly hair but everytim i diffuser dry it, it goes frizzy and fly away.

How should i style it and what products are good for curly hair, preventing fizz etc.

Styling curly Hair.?

Leave-in conditioner (overnight) is a must, to add body to your natural curls, and Frizz-Ease for day-wear; you'll look stunning!

Styling curly Hair.?

It sounds like i have the same kind of cut and hair as you. John Frieda is great for curly hair. I you the frizz ease stuff even though it says straight on the bottle its amazing. Then I spritz with the leave in conditioner to help keep frizz down. Its also protects against hot styling.

Styling curly Hair.?

Things You'll Need

Deep Conditioner

Daily Conditioner

Leave-in Conditioner Or Anti-frizz Serum

Steps

1Step OneLearn to like your curls. Straightening efforts and hair relaxants damage hair.

2Step TwoKeep shampooing to a minimum since shampoo tends to dry out hair. If you do wash your hair daily, dilute shampoo with an equal amount of water.

3Step ThreeUse a daily conditioner to keep hair moisturized. Finger-brush your hair while the conditioner is in it. Then rinse.

4Step FourApply a leave-in conditioner or anti-frizz serum to your damp hair.

5Step FiveDeep-condition your hair once a week.

6Step SixTo touch up your hair in the afternoon, moisten your fingers with water and a small amount of conditioner. Run your fingers through your hair and smooth out the frizz.

Styling curly Hair.?

I have naturally wavy/curly hair as well. The best product out there that I've used to help prevent the frizzies is FRIZZ-EASE. It really works. Just make sure that you distribute it evenly over your hair BEFORE you blow dry it. If there are a few dry strands afterwards, you can always re-apply it where necessary. Good luck!

Styling curly Hair.?

ReCoil from AG is amazing!

Styling curly Hair.?

I lived for years with very curly hair that i had absolutely no control over and always tied back. now i always twist it, put some serum on, a bit of curling balm and some gel (anything just to smooth it down and hold it in place). then take small sections and twist it around your fingers, starting underneath with the top tied up then working your way up. it might take some practice and take ages to begin with but now i do it about 5 min and my hair is long and very curly.

i don't tend to dry mine but if i do using a diffuser is fine.

good luck with it!

Curly Hair Question!!!????

I have no problem keeping it straight when it's not humid, but when it's humid or when there's any moisture in the air, it goes back curly or gets wavy. Curly Hair Question!!!????

Curly Hair Question!!!????

I'm sure by now a lot of you think I'm obsessed with my hair. You're right. Lets face it, people just look better and feel better when they're having a good hair-day. This is not however, an easy feat for me. With naturally curly hair I have to put a lot of work into styling it. If I wear it curly, there's frizz to worry about. If I wear it straight, there's frizz to worry about. Not to mention when curly hair is straighted, every weather pattern becomes a potential disaster waiting to happen. If it's humid my hair frizzes, if it's raining my hair frizzes and so on and so on.

So what's a girl to do? I don't know what other girls do, but I try just about every product designed for straighting and frizz control, that makes it way to the market place. I kidd you not, my hair-care shelve reads like a who's who in hair-care products. Unfortunately most of them are just taking up space and collecting dust. Well, not so long ago, I did come across a product that comes pretty close to keeping my hair under control. It's not perfect, but thus far it's the closest I've found. So with no further ado%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;On with the review.

WHAT'S ITS NAME?

physique Keep It Straight Lotion

WILL I KNOW IT, WHEN I SEE IT?

I'll give a brief description so you know what to look for. physique Keep It Straight Lotion is dispensed in a 5.0 FL. OZ. plastic bottle. The bottle itself is white with a silver/gray label that covers everything except the top of bottle and the pump. Lettering is in back and white and there are splashes of slate blue coloring throughout. A sideway slate blue "M" is located above the product name. The bottle is equipped with a convenient locking (white) pump.

WHAT'S ITS CLAIM TO FAME?

physique Keep It Straight Lotion claims to smooth out wave, fight frizz and fly-aways for up to 20 hours.

*Controls frizz and fly-aways even in high humidity.

*Turns unruly hair into a straight fluid style.

*Protects against styling stress.

*Use as a leave-in conditioner to keep your straight style until next shampoo.

*Leaves hair smooth, touchable and shiny.

WHAT ABOUT TEXTURE AND SCENT?

The scent is as a little strong when first applied, releasing a burst of fruit and flowers. This mellows quite a bit during the styling process and hair is left smelling fresh and clean. The lotion appears to be very creamy when squirted into hand, but it's actually very light. Rub some between your thumb and index finger and you'll understand what I mean. It feels almost like water. Usually one good push on the pump dispenses enough product for my hair. May require more for longer styles.

HOW DO I USE IT?

By using the physique technique of course. Dispense a small amount into palm and work through towel-dried hair from roots to ends. If using other styling products such as gel, apply Keep It Straight first. Style as usual.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST AND WHERE CAN I GET IT?

I bought mine at my local Wal-Mart for 4.69 and have also see it at Target, Rite-Aid, Kmart and Walgreens for right around the same price. drugstore.com offers this for 6.99

WHAT MAKES THIS STUFF TICK?

Ingredients: Water, Phenyl Trimethicone, Dimethicone, Polyacrylamide, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Laureth 7, Polyquaternium 28, Propylene Glycol, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Triethanolamine, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Copolymer, Disodium EDTA, Benzalkonium Chloride, Propylparaben.

WHERE ELSE CAN I FIND INFORMATION ON THIS PRODUCT?

Pay a visit to www.physique.com where you'll find info about this product and others that physique has to offer. They also give away free samples on the website. A toll-free number (1-800-214-8960) is listed on the product label for your convenience.

DOES THIS WORK FOR YOU?

It does work better then other straighting lotions I've tried, but seems to weigh my hair down a bit. This is easily corrected though if I follow up with a curling iron at the roots of my hair. This product is no where near as heavy as some of the others though. My hair doesn't look greasy or stringy after applying this, and frizz, What Frizz? This stuff definitely keeps my frizz down no matter what the weather conditions are. It's very easy to use and a little goes a long way.

Overall I would recommend this product to anyone with unruly, frizzy hair. The scent is wonderfully clean and fresh and my hair really shines when using this. All in all a great buy for the money.

Curly Hair Question!!!????

If the hairs wearn't curley the would poke my eyes out.

Curly Hair Question!!!????

Mixed Chicks Hair Products. Ciara uses it. Check it out at their website. You can use their stuff to go curly without frizz or use the deep conditioner before you blow dry and it will help it stay straight.

Once again curly hair problem?

I have naturally curly hair. I tried everything from vegestable oil, Theramisk, Biosilk, Herbal essence, baby oil, vazoom, and now i am using Panthene Pro-V. After i get out of the shower i don't dry my hair i put moose in it. I let my hair dry naturally but it get curly on the middle part of my hair. How can my roots gets curly too. How can i stop to get frissy and and it also dry. Help

Once again curly hair problem?

*Try clipping the roots of your hair with claw or butterlfy clips as such after you have put gel in your hair and scrunched.

http://www.ylcf.org/gotcurl/curlyclippin...

Also try scrunching your hair upside down to give you more volume at the roots and crown.

*Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now well defined and healthy. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life! But if this is completely uninteresting to you, disregard.

*To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel, a leave in, and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blow dryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a micro fiber hair turban/old t-shirts (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

*The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygienic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sulfates). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

*Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (avoid these- ingredients will end in -xane, -conol, or -cone). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse with cold/cool water.

*Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it will disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part preferably to one side). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair with your fingers. Make sure gel is evenly distributed everywhere in your hair. If you use too much you can always scrunch out the crunchy texture later.

*Use paper towels or an old t-shirt to gently scrunch some of the water out (generic towels can make hair frizz). You can either let your hair air dry or wait ten minutes and then use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Dry until your hair is almost dry, and then air-dry the last bit. Do not touch the hair while it is air-drying or it will frizz!

*Use a cheap, silicone free conditioner to scrub your scalp such as Suave Naturals or Vo5. Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner (salon) or Nature's Gate\Desert Essences conditioners (health food stores) for your hair. I recommend using a gel (LA Looks, Herbal Essences, La Bella) over a leave in (L閳ユ┉real Out of Bed Instant Texturizer). Experiment with whatever products you wish, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

*You may be able to get away with some silicones (such as amodimethicone) if you clarify with a sulfate free shampoo. Try Devacurl no-poo (salon) or Cream of Nature (drug store). Feel free to find your own but always check the ingredients for sodium/ammonium lauryl/laureth sulfate.

*Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. Before you decide to quit shampoo, do a final cleanse with shampoo and stop the use of any products with silicones in them. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! I hope you consider this- email me if you have any questions!

Once again curly hair problem?

try a light leave in conditioner and john freedas shampoo conditioner and finishing products

Once again curly hair problem?

i have natural curls too.%26amp;it can sometimes be a bad thing.also you did not state you hair length, because from my experience,

shorter hair curls a whole lot, looking frizzy after a while.

medium length hair just look frizzy

long hair is when i get the curls.

well,if you want you roots to get curly too,get a curler, like those "traditional" ones where you leave it into your hair for like an hour or so,den apply hair spray or LOREAL curl spray (forgot the name,a pink bottle)so it will last.

it is quite troublesome, but it is worth it cos when you are done, the curls are just to die for.soft%26amp;bouncy

Once again curly hair problem?

My hairs naturally curly, too stop it going frizzy i use

"Toni and guy tame it serum" it's about 鎷?, you can get it from boots and it lasts ages!

It makes it smooth and doesnt leave it frizzy, it's really good, i dont know what i'd do without it!

Once again curly hair problem?

I also have naturally curly hair. I finally found a good stylist to help give me a cut for my type of curl and products that work for me.(She also cut my daughter's hair, which is curly, and did it just right for her also). I found her on a website called naturallycurly.com and looked for stylists in my town.

Good luck to you. This website led me to a great place and I actually like my curls now!

Once again curly hair problem?

I have naturally curly hair too, so I know what your going through.

The absolute best product I've found so far is Potion 9 by Sebastian. It's not cheap, but a little goes a long way. and it's actually a conditioner - so it's good for your hair. Apply it to damp hair and evenly distribute. Twirl your hair in a corkscrew shape in 1 inch sections. Air-dry, or use a dryer with diffuser on low heat. when hair is totally dry separate any curls you think look too big.

viola!

If you can't find Potion 9 LeOreal Studio Effects Melting Gel is also good and is like $3-4 a tube.

also -- curly hair is usually dry hair, so try not to shampoo your hair every day. I try to wash mine only every 3 days, it makes a big difference. My stylist (my best friend) says that Pantene actually dries out the hair more. It feels great while your using it, but once you stop it gets all dry.

**Hi again, I just read that your hair is down to your waist -- that may be too long/too heavy for it to curl at the roots. try cutting a couple inches off... but make sure your stylist knows about curly hair... I've had a few nightmare haircuts by people who underestimated the bounce-factor!!

good luck!

My hair gets curly sometimes..?

MY HAIR GETS CURLY BY ITSELF ON CERTAIN DAYS BUT ON OTHERS....MY HAIR IS FLATTER THAN A PANCAKE...I REALLY LIKE CURLY HAIR...BUT MY DAD WONT LET ME GET A PERM....IS THERE ANYTHING OUT THERE...ANY PRODUCTS THAT CAN CURL MY HAIR AND MAKE IT STAY CURLY THROUGH OUT THE DAY??

My hair gets curly sometimes..?

- It sounds like you have wavy hair. Although I have curly hair (hard to manage, poofy, frizzy, be glad you don't) I have heard from wavy friends what it's like. Curly, straight, and frizzy days for no apparent reason. Here are some tips on enhancing your waves.

-Use a shampoo low in sodium laureth sulfate (SLS) or one that contains none at all, such as Johnson %26amp; Johnson baby shampoo. Some health food store have organic shampoos with no SLS also. Be sure to check the ingredients for SLS though! SLS dries out wavy/curly hair- it makes it frizzy, limp, and causes most other problems.

- Use a small amount of shampoo on scalp as normal and rinse. Then spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair. Then let your hair air dry or use a blowdryer with a diffuser.

- Experiment with different products because everyone's hair is different. I would reccomend a light hold gel and a leave in cream or condtioner. I really like the garnier fructis sleek and shine leave in cream and Tressemme clean hold gel, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally wavy hair can be beautiful! Hope this helps!

My hair gets curly sometimes..?

buy a curling iron or but water curls or just buy a straightener and keep it straight

My hair gets curly sometimes..?

yh all u av to do is use the sunsilk shampoo it's yellow wiv on it sazz 4 curly hair that might do u some good cuzz it helped me bii xXx

My hair gets curly sometimes..?

Humidity does this. It's a pain, unless, like you, you like it.

I don't know how old you are, but don't piss Dad off. Just wait until you're old enough where all he can do is sigh at it.

My hair gets curly sometimes..?

to get it curly apply curl-defining mousse from Garnier Fructis and a curling iron.

Celebrities and curly hair??

I have really curly hair and I'm getting a cut and style. I want some ideas from celebrities with ACTUALLY CURLY HAIR!! None of this thing with celebrities who have their hair curled occasionally, I want people who have curly hair. Pictures and recommendations of people to look up pictures will help. The first person to give me something I can actually use will get the best answer. Thanks!! I'm Victoria, by the way.

Celebrities and curly hair??

Howdy Victoria! Debra Messing has beautiful red natural curly hair! Google her! Minnie Driver too. AND I just found out that Sarah Jessica Parker's hair is naturally curly! I say grow it long and keep it healthy.

Celebrities and curly hair??

If you have curly hair, don't cut it! Grow it like how Nicole Kidman had her hair long and curly..

Celebrities and curly hair??

Well grab a horn and start honking.. Marx Brothers... :-)

Celebrities and curly hair??

There are hardly any hairstyles for curly hair and it sucks! ='[ . .I have really curly hair [got it straightened in that pic tho] lol . .best thing that I find that helps is having it long, with a few bottom bits layered, nothing to high up layered or else it will just look like a poodle gone wrong . .lol that's what i reckon anyways. Have a look through some hair magazines and see what you find, best of luck =]

Curly hair won't curl?

I have naturally very curly hair but after I straightened my hair with a hair straightener about 2 weeks it has not returned back to normal. It was only a one time straighten and now my hair is wavy and some parts are still straight. Is there anything I can do or should I just cut my hair?

Curly hair won't curl?

A very good idea would be to use a shampoo for curly hair...then add Volumizing mousse that adds volume and accentuates your natural curls when you get out of the shower....then scrunch up your hair with your fingers ..then use a diffuser. This should help...but keep doing this for a couple of days so your hair can get used to its natural curls. My friend had the same problem. I also told her to braid her hair in two braids when her hair was wet and sleep with it like that. It eventually worked too. You can cut your ends only, to get rid of the damage that way your hair is healthier and a lot more manageable... I hope it works for you !

Curly hair won't curl?

Sounds like you really fried your hair. Try doing a deep conditioning treatment once a week along with your normal washing routine. The added moisturizer should cause your curls to return. You can trim the damaged ends off, but you don't necessarily need to cut your hair short.

Curly hair won't curl?

You can try to cut maybe 1 or 2 inches off to give it more bounce for curls. Use some curling products for the first couple of days and then hopefully it will go back to its natural curls. =)

Curly hair won't curl?

I say you have just been straightening your hair too much, obviously haha. Make sure you are using a ceramic straightener like Chi, because that will not damage your hair as much. Also go to the store and get a shampoo and condition that is used made for people with curly hair and use that. Your hair will go back to being its pretty curly ways soon, just try not to straighten it for a couple of days and if you blow dry your hair, stop because that also damages your hair. If you want it be to curly right away you can always scrunch it get some aussie scrunching gel and just scrunch your hair right after you get out of the shower. Good luck. I am sure your pretty curls will be back in no time:).

Curly hair won't curl?

Curly hair has a mind of it's own and tends to be dry anyway. It sounds like you over processed your hair and fried it. First you need a good conditioner to try and bring it back. I gave up on trying to get mine to do what I wanted and found a good stylist who knows how to cut my hair. I also use something by Aveda called Be Curly. This cuts down on frizz and gives your curl some control.

If you want to your hair straight every now and then don't use a chemical process, just blow it dry straight and use a flat iron on it. It is much better for your hair.

I wish you luck.
