My baby's hair is very curly, i have bald her twice. Is there anyway i can make her hair less curly?

Darn...........leave the babe alone , my grand daughter has fabulous curly hair and would not dream of touching it.

When the child grows if she wants to straighten it isn't that her choice......... sorry not getting at u.

My baby's hair is very curly, i have bald her twice. Is there anyway i can make her hair less curly?

do not try till the baby grows up. it will only cause harm. After a few years u can do so.

My baby's hair is very curly, i have bald her twice. Is there anyway i can make her hair less curly?

there is one way to get rid of the curliness. a relaxer will make her hair straight. but you may want to wait until she has had her menses.

My baby's hair is very curly, i have bald her twice. Is there anyway i can make her hair less curly?

Why would you want to change your childs hair? When the baby gets older you can put a straightener in it to make it straighter, but right now your babys hair is going to keep growing in curly. Just find some totally cute curly hair dos that you can do with it, and stop stressing about something that you can't change right now.

My baby's hair is very curly, i have bald her twice. Is there anyway i can make her hair less curly?

you can use wheatgerm oil

My baby's hair is very curly, i have bald her twice. Is there anyway i can make her hair less curly?

why would you want to get rid of her curls? use leave in childrens conditioner spray or regular conditioner and with a comb and finger section the hair and make bigger curls like bannana curls...if or when it is long enough use the conditioner and make 2 piggy tails and make 1 big curl in the same way on each side. I did this with my daughter who didnt have terrible hair but glossy big curls that would get a little wild...when she was 3 she has 10 inch long banana curls on each pig tail....so very darling to look at.....now she is almost 9 and wanted her hair cut kind of short so ....now it has grown back straight.

My baby's hair is very curly, i have bald her twice. Is there anyway i can make her hair less curly?

Just leave her hair alone im sure its beautiful the way it is

...put some conditioner in it to keep it moisturised im sure she will be beautiful.

My baby's hair is very curly, i have bald her twice. Is there anyway i can make her hair less curly?

Curly hair is so beautiful, leave it till she is older. who knows you might want it curly by then or if you dont you can always straightn it.

My baby's hair is very curly, i have bald her twice. Is there anyway i can make her hair less curly?

Don't shave your poor baby's head! :o) Who ever said that straight is more beautiful than curly? Instead of fighting your baby's gorgeous natural curl, go with it. Set an example for her, teach her that the hair that she was born with is a perfect fit for her. It's spunky and really special! Don't make her dislike any part of her self, she is perfect just the way she is. Girls nowadays have enough trouble learning to love and accept themselves. Help her have a GREAT self image, instead of subconciously telling her that there's something wrong with her, or there's something she has to change.

no,they r natural

My baby's hair is very curly, i have bald her twice. Is there anyway i can make her hair less curly?

Let the hair grow, when growing curly will be more manageable and you just need to use moisturizers until is good enough to use chemicals or blower. Don't forget babies' skins are very sensitive and you don't want to harm your baby just for vain.

My baby's hair is very curly, i have bald her twice. Is there anyway i can make her hair less curly?

OMG.. dont do that! love your childs hair!

if you keep 'balding her' or whatever you wrote, the hair doesnt have a chance to get a little thicker and heavier, which would weigh the curls downa nd they wont be sooo curly/crazy.

leave it curly!!

poor kid!!

My baby's hair is very curly, i have bald her twice. Is there anyway i can make her hair less curly?

Just by excepting the fact that its not nappy, knotted up and very difficult to comb after it has been washed, but depending on how old she is it takes baby's till there two to get their true hair! Wait it out, you might regret balding your baby!

My baby's hair is very curly, i have bald her twice. Is there anyway i can make her hair less curly?

Cutting your child's hair till she's bald will not make her hair straight, no matter how many times you repeat this. You've already done it twice %26amp; you say it's still straight so you should know that this doesn't work.

Why do you desire your child to have straight hair? Accept the natural beauty of your daughter's curly hair. If you accept it she will too. Embrace her unique-ness!

To keep her hair heathy don't wash it everyday and try using Jojoba oil. Use a small amount, a little goes a long way.

Never use a brush on wet hair use a wide tooth comb. Hair is in it's weakest state when it's wet %26amp; can break.

My baby's hair is very curly, i have bald her twice. Is there anyway i can make her hair less curly?

What do you mean you "bald" her? You shaved her head?

Shame on you! You obviously have issues about curly hair, but don't take them out on the child. I'll bet it's adorable. Leave that child's hair alone!

My baby's hair is very curly, i have bald her twice. Is there anyway i can make her hair less curly?

Why would you even think of trying to get rid of her curls? Mind you, this is a BABY we are talking about. I cant believe you would go as far as making her bald. Shame on you!!! Too bad she isnt old enough to make her own decisions. Leave her curls alone. I am sure they are beautiful. My daughter is a year old and has curly hair. We absolutely love it!! Accept your daughters hair the way it is. And leave that poor baby alone!!

Answers Curly Hair

Read the book and visit the site below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life! The first thing to do if your hair is damaged by coloring, chemicals, or straigtening is to get a haircut so your hair can grow back out healthily. The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Conditioner and massaging of the scalp to remove dirt are all that is needed. Shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent. They dry out curly hair. Massage your scalp with conditioner and rinse. Then spread conditioner on outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. It is also important to use gel on wet hair and scrunch the hair. If you decide to do this, and I hope you do, please visit the websites for more information!! You really need to read the book to do this successfully. Be patient and good luck!

Use conditioner. If you are already using conditioner, switch over to a leave-in conditioner since that leaves more moisture in your hair. If you want to have nice-spiral curls when your hair is dry, you can get products to put in your hair to help it. Pantene Pro-V has a curl defining mousse that works very well. ~

Hairstylists for curly hair in Houston/Conroe, Texas area?

I have naturally very curly hair, and I'm looking for a drastic haircut. I want an experienced hairstylist that really knows curly hair. I've always kept my hair long, and I want to go short, althought I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for. I'm pretty flexible in what I want, and I'm just asking for recommendations for someone I can go to.

How to get curly hair? DESPERATE!?

My hair is naturally very straight, and I have tried everything to make it curly or wavy, but nothing ever works. I have tried leaving curlers in overnight with wet hair, but then I let it down in the morning and within 10 minutes it was straight again. I have also tried curling irons and LOTS of hairspray, but again it fell out in minutes. Any help would be much appreciated. Also, hairspray makes absolutely no difference on my hair, and I have already tried those shampoos that make your hair curly, but they don't work on me. What can I do?

How to get curly hair? DESPERATE!?

ok i have the same problem but i am also prone to frizzy hair, im affraid that the solution is quite long winded! heres what i do!

wash and condition my hair, put styling mousse on wet hair and then i use rags instead of curlers, basically cut a cotton sheet or piece of matieral into strips long enough to tie when you have your hair wound round it, seperate into segments and completely rag your hair, makes sure you do this in the afternoon, and leave the rags in overnight. make sure your hair is completely dry before taking the rags out, you will have beautiful ringlets that you can seperate with your fingers into long lasting curls, (do not use a brush or comb otherwise youll just have frizz!!) also another thing is not to use too much hairspray! it weighs the curls down making them drop, just a spritz of the strongest hold one you can find!!

good luck i hope this helps!

When I was younger I had really curly hair, and I lost it, unfortunately. My hair became straight but I did have a little bit of waves at time. A lot of years later I decided to get a perm and my hair is now really wavy and curly at times. I like it but I do miss when my hair is straight. Try a perm if you really truly want curly hair.

Hope this works

your the same as me ,i put hairspray on my hair before i put the curlers in it stays for the whole day!

How to get curly hair? DESPERATE!?

Well if you really want curly hair and are willing to make it into a semi permanent thing, I suggest talking to your hairstylist about getting a perm. You can ask to have larger curls as opposed to the tight curly ones many think of when they hear perm.

You should love you hair as it is though. I have curly hair and when I was younger I wanted straight hair. Now I am beginning to appreciate the attributes of having curls :) Good Luck!

How to get curly hair? DESPERATE!?

You could get a curly perm. Thats what I'm going to do this summer when my hair is a little longer. My hair is the opposite of yours. It's wavy and a little curly. That's why I'm going to get a perm to make it all look even. You should try it. It should help and there's no way that it won't stay curly because they use all of those chemicals. You will just have to use a little bit of gel to keep it from being frizzy.

How to get curly hair? DESPERATE!?

you can get a perm...or...if that's TOO permanent for you...try having someone braid your hair very tightly (it might hurt a little depending on who does it). be sure to use gel and to have them do it when it's dry. take it out the next day. whenever i do this, my hair stays curly for days depending on how often i wash it. use gel when it's braid and you can use other products when you take it out to keep it from frizzing up. i prefer to get 2 french braids or cornrows.

My daughter has the same trouble. We decided against a perm, so the hairdresser suggested washing and conditioning with the "curling" products, followed by a spray on product and a dab of mousse, we then use a ceramic curling iron and a light spray of curl booster. She sometimes sleeps in the foam curlers, but we use the products first and I slightly blow dry her hair once the rollers are in. By the next AM she looks like Goldie locks.

How to get curly hair? DESPERATE!?

Rub your hair in pure Lanolin. Leave it on as long as possible...two hours minimum.

Rinse with water...and blow dry.

If everything works out OK ...your hair will be like a sheep..very tight curls..

The problem is, if it is too curly, you will need to have your hair sheared (cut).

do not use hair spray...! it only makes ur hair sticky......just use gel....(eco) is the best gel u can find, that makes ur curls last till next day....believe me.....if u cant find eco than use another brand,,,,BUT IT HAS TO BE GEL! try to find a number higher than 5 atleast,,,look for the level in the brand. when u get it take some in ur hands and put it on,put more on ur ends.. but ur hair must be wet b4 putting it on....not too wet.good luck!

I would get a perm

How to get curly hair? DESPERATE!?

OMFG!!! I have THE SAME exact problem as you do! It really does suck =\ What I do sometimes is before I go to bed I wash my hair, and towel dry it, then a put a ton of mousse in it, and scruntch it. Then I throw it up in a messy bun and let it out in the morning and curl it a little.

How to get curly hair? DESPERATE!?

Yep, I also have the exact same problem. As you have found out, none of the things you try help. The only thing that will make your hair wavy or curly is what is called a "wave" or a "perm". A wave is usually not as curly as the perm, but the chemicals used are the same. The hair stylist just uses larger rollers to process your hair to make your hair less curly. Depending on how fast your hair grows, you will have to have it touched up about every 4 to 6 months. Years ago this process was very damaging, and it still is not the best thing in the world to put in your hair, but neither is hair color. Talk to your hair stylist. She can give you the best advice about perming your hair. Hope you get the beautiful curly hair you always dreamed of....Good Luck.

do not use hair spray...! it only makes ur hair sticky......just use gel....(eco) is the best gel u can find, that makes ur curls last till next day....believe me.....if u cant find eco than use another brand,,,,BUT IT HAS TO BE GEL! try to find a number higher than 5 atleast,,,look for the level in the brand. when u get it take some in ur hands and put it on,put more on ur ends.. but ur hair must be wet b4 putting it on....not too wet.good luck!

How to get curly hair? DESPERATE!?

my hair is to get a perm it should help a lot

How to get curly hair? DESPERATE!?

How to get curly hair? DESPERATE!?

go to a good salon and tell them your problem ask them to recommend a perm and which products to use after letting them perm it

How to get curly hair? DESPERATE!?

try this:

when you get out of the shower, put your hair in pony tail. put one elastic at the top and twist it, then put one at the bottom. sleep on it and take it out the next morning when your hair is dry, and put hairspray on if you need it.

How to get curly hair? DESPERATE!?

get a curly perm

A question about naturally curly hair?

I have naturally curly hair that I blow dry and staighten every day. My problem is, is that it is really starting to look dry and I feel it needs a break from all this abuse. The worse problem: If I let it dry naturally it is really a curly and wavy out of control mess, especially in the front. I have tried chemical straighteners in the past and my hair still needed to be smoothed with a straightener. I have heard that if I get a body wave perm using bigger rods, my hair will then have a controlled curl that I can just wash and put in a little gel and go and the curls will look nicer. My question, is this true? If I get a perm in naturally curly hair, will it really smooth my curls to a much more controlled curl to where I can just wash it and dry it naturally and give it a rest from the blow dryer and straightener abuse?

A question about naturally curly hair?

I have the same exact problem! All i know is STOP using the dryer and straightener for a couple of months. I would prefer using JOHN FRIEDA CURLS shampoo and conditioner. Do not let you hair just air dry after that or it will get frizzy and your curls will not be a smooth and won't have any texture. Use a light curling gel like Pantene and then some moose from Aussie. Use about like a size of a quarter for each. Then let it air dry after that or blow dry it on low heat. Your curls will be looking so much better trust me after I did that I got so many compliments!

A question about naturally curly hair?

ok this is wat is do..my hair is just like u and for a long time i straightened it until it was all dry..first step GET A HAIR CUT!..serioulsy it happened to me i cut it all off..then i went got this anti poof shampoo conditioner and gel..i add that stuff then i add this anti frizz and this curl enhacer thing by bed head..and blow dry the bangs straight.then the back is perfect not poofy curls and the bangs and staight i think it looks realy pretty and it does get all dry

A question about naturally curly hair?

Embrace your curls girl! Curls are beautiful and everyone wants to straighten them and I have no idea why. I have curly hair as well that is fine, but I have a lot of it. I use the Aveda Be Curly line and it works great. They have shampoo, conditioner, a curl lotion and then curl control cream. I use the whole line and my hair is healthier then it has ever been. I let my hair dry naturally most days.. sometimes I dry it with a diffuser. Either way my curly hair looks very pretty and controlled with minimal effort and no damage like a dryer and straighter give... I would recommend Aveda to everyone. Expensive but totally worth it.

A question about naturally curly hair?

curls are much prettier than straight hair.

mousse mousse mousse it up!

get herbel essence SET IT UP mousse extra strength and scrunch your damp hair..then let it dry by itself.

if frizz is a problem, LEAVE-IN CONDITIONERs are good.

How I get really curly hair like Taylor Swifts?

I love taylor's beautifully curly hair, and i have naturally curly hair too, and ours is about the same length... but mine looks nothing like hers. And I know that her hair is naturally curly, but they touch it up and spruce, or diffuse, I dont know, but please help me get her hair!

How I get really curly hair like Taylor Swifts?

i'd say start with a shine serum/smoothing serum before your hair is dry... and then half dry it with a diffuser.

then put in a small amount of wax or pomade to your damp hair and it'll help hold the curls and they won't get frizzy.

(PS. i really like Paul mitchell and kenra products.) i think that salon styling products are worth the money. you only need a little at a time... even if you just try one. ask your stylist what would make your hair softer and mroe manageable i think they can help you out!

How I get really curly hair like Taylor Swifts?

Gel and Mousse. Use this gel by Pantene and this volume Mousse.

How I get really curly hair like Taylor Swifts?

You can get it permed..

But if you don't want to do that, you can also try using curlers before you go to bed at night after a shower..

You could also try crunching it with your hands.. when your hair is a little damp after getting out of the shower.. take some leave in conditioner and some hair syrum, and it will make it look naturally curley with out getting all crunchy. Don't use gel or hairspray cause that just looks gross..

This usually works best with somewhat thin hair, i know it works for mine.

Good luck. :)

How I get really curly hair like Taylor Swifts?

thats funny cause i've been trying to figure that out myself! i think they use a sprial curling iron to touch up her curls and add some shine serum.but im sure it wont come out exactly like hers.but im sure it'll come out good too.

How I get really curly hair like Taylor Swifts?

use curlers or use mousse.

How I get really curly hair like Taylor Swifts?

Use a curling iron. Take a peice of hair and hold it in the curling iron for about 5 seconds. While you are holding the hair there spritz it with hair spray (from a can). It takes a while. But the results are GREAT.

Why do people always think Curly hair is fake?

I'm a mixed woman and I have a unique type of curly hair. People always compliment it; however, almost ALWAYS following the complimnent comes that ANNOYING question: "Is it real?"

I'm not the only one with curly hair who's experienced this over and over. I know other people with curly hair who get doubtful questions.

Tell me, why does curly hair always have to be fake or unnatural? Why can't people just realize it's your own?

Why do people always think Curly hair is fake?

I don't have curly hair, I have natural blonde hair, and people constantly ask me what dye I use. They somehow think everyone is born with either straight brown hair, or tight nappy hair, and if you have blonde hair or soft curls, it's got to be fake. I think it's jealousy, because everyone wants curls (or blonde hair). I just smile and say "blessed by nature". (even though that smile is fake, I really want to ask them where their manners are)

Why do people always think Curly hair is fake?

they think you're not giving them a straight answer

Why do people always think Curly hair is fake?

Take it as a compliment. Perhaps it's such a perfect curl that people think the saloons did it for you. =)

Why do people always think Curly hair is fake?

Now you know how genuine blondes feel ! I know what you mean, but most people should be able to tell real curls from the fake. I always wanted natural curls, and the people who had them, didn't want them. Ignore the doubters, they're just jealous, so have to attempt sarcasm.

Why do people always think Curly hair is fake?

It is so common for people to use extensions now adays, so when they see someone as fortunate as yourself with beautiful hair ,what goes through my head is it fake so maybe i can get a similar style.

Why do people always think Curly hair is fake?

I am not one to judge weather your hair is curly or straight. I could care less if everyone were bald either. it is not the person who wears the hair, it is ultimately the person under it.so in my opinion this really shouldn't bother you unless you are so shallow that the slightest thing could set you off.

Why do people always think Curly hair is fake?

My daughter is biracial too and we live in a country were you just dont see people like this too often. I CAN NOT go out anywhere with out getting that exact same response your talking about! Its so funny cause people will literally stop what they're doing and come back to ask to touch her hair. When they do, the question always follows- "is it naturally that curly?" Sometimes I just want to say " no, I just thought it was a good idea to perm my 3 year old's hair." But anyway, yea, its funny we get the same response you get. Just take it as a compliment. People with your type of hair are just so unique looking and pretty.

Why do people always think Curly hair is fake?

i dont know why people ask that? i can agree its very annoying!!!!!!!!! i have jet stright hair and people r always feeling it and stuff and they ask me IS IT REALLY THIS STRIGHT?? and i just look up @ em and smile and say yes

Why do people always think Curly hair is fake?

in the market mostly curly hair is available so people think curly hair is fake.

Extremely Thick Curly Hair Question?

When you wash it at night and sleep in it should you put product in it or not and should you let lie free or in a bun?

I have really curly thick hair that gets frizzy and humongous! I'm wondering what to do because I'm going to wash it tonight and want it to look good tomorrow where I don't have to do much to it to get it to look decent. Please only answer if your hair is curly like i described or if you have had experience with this type of hair. Thank you!

Extremely Thick Curly Hair Question?

- You can put your hair up in a microfiber hair turban when it's wet the night before. It's like twisting up your hair iwth a towel only it has a mechanism so it will stay up. It's also good for quick drying after showering in the morning, which is what I generally do for my curly hair. Here's a link.

http://curlmart.com/store/product.php?pr...

-Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a microfiber hair turban (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent. They dry out curly hair.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair. Then let your hair air dry or use a blowdryer with a diffuser.

- I really like the garnier fructis sleek and shine leave in cream and Tressemme clean hold gel, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites. Frizz-ease hair serum is pretty good for fighting frizz.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! Hope this helps!

Extremely Thick Curly Hair Question?

If u want it to be curly let it dry in a bun or pony tail... my hair is also wavey and curly.

Go here, answer my question plz!!

Extremely Thick Curly Hair Question?

I have thick curly hair, and the best way to style mine is to mousse the hell outta it when its wet and leave it to dry natural and in the morning just give it a good wet to smooth the frizzy bits and recharge the curls.Hope it helps.X

Extremely Thick Curly Hair Question?

just pull back into a bun, that should reduce the poofiness

Extremely Thick Curly Hair Question?

i hav th eexact same problem, i usually straighten my hair, but when i dont i always use Redken conditioner and shampoo, adn after ive towel dried my hair, i use a pea size amount of th eleave in conditioner. dont tie it up if u use this product, just make sure to put your hair of to the side so that your not sleeping on it. if you cant use this product, put a bit of the product u use, and put it in a loose bun. BUT AFTER BUY THE REDKEN PRODUCT, IT ACTUALLY WORKS, u can get it at any beauty supply place. good luk with the hair

Extremely Thick Curly Hair Question?

I've NEVER been able to sleep on my wet hair and it look good the next day. As far as it getting frizzy and big, don't bend over when you scrunch it and put hairspray in it while its WET. The curls will set the way they are while wet (which is usually pretty sleek). ALSO, do NOT, I repeat DO NOT touch your hair with a brush or a comb while its dry or even close to dry, only when soaking wet. I keep a comb in the shower with me because this will only lead to frizzer hair.

Extremely Thick Curly Hair Question?

I have the same exact hair and when I want to give it a break from all of the products I have to put in it, I wahs and condition it ...apply a little gel, put it in a tight bun, and sleep on it. It also makes it softer when you do it like that. You won't have to do much in the morning...just take it out and mess with it a little...apply some hairspray if you want. I usually take mine out, mess with it and then put it in an updo...It always works for me!

Extremely Thick Curly Hair Question?

you need to keep it wet. your best bet is to tie it up in a bun then in the morning wet it completely. to keep your curls in tact herbal essense has this really good maximum hold mousse. if your hair is very long you;ll probably wind up using most of the bottle. it's at walmart for like 4 bucks. while wet turn ur head udside down... put alot of the mousse in your hands %26amp; work it completely thru you hair. when it dries tour curls should be in shape.. it will be hard butit will look nice. it you don't want to completely wet your hari you can buy detanglers that you spray in your hair. i used them when i was a kid. but i don't prefer them.

for an up do like just a nice ponytail. get som issopluss gel. it's in the part where all the black ppl hair supplies are. it's a yelowish orange color. or some lets JAM extra hold. put the mouse on your tips. the gel or the jam on the edges of you head %26amp; you a hard brush. every single haie on your head will be in place. it't also looks really sufistiacting w/ pearls or studs. :) the more you use these products the more you will physicaly understand how they work with your hair. %26amp; if your creative, you'll have no broblem w. experimenting. have fun i hope you look nice tomorrow :)

I have really curly hair, but i want bangs, HELP!?

I have a round face and curly hair. i have tried to layer it, i have straighten it and it looks good. but i love my curly hair. should my bangs be straight and the rest of my hair curly, would that look good?

I have really curly hair, but i want bangs, HELP!?

You know, I've seen a chick with curly hair and straight bangs before and I didn't think it was cute at all. I think you should forget the bangs.

I have really curly hair, but i want bangs, HELP!?

thats what i do but just make sure they have a lil bounce in them so they arent like glued to your head wen u straighten them like use a curvemotion with the straightener

I have really curly hair, but i want bangs, HELP!?

ooo... yes thats a pretty look i love it

I have really curly hair, but i want bangs, HELP!?

for a round face, i wouldn't do straight bangs but side swept bangs. they will stay with your curl but give you that extra something you've been needing with your style (trust me i used to have this look!)

I have really curly hair, but i want bangs, HELP!?

I wuld give anything to have curly hair! I think that would look cute. I say go for it even if you dont like it you can always grow your hair back. But im sure it will look fantasic!

I have really curly hair, but i want bangs, HELP!?

don't do it! for hair to look it's best you should work with it, not against it. straight bangs with curly hair sounds very .......not good ;)

Hair wax on curly hair?

I have recently cut my curly hair real short, and want to keep a spikey apearence, I applied hair gel today and it curled up more.

I was thinking about using hair wax instead, what would be the effect?

Hair wax on curly hair?

Try Bed Head Manipulator

I have naturally curly hair and I want it to be straight for once! Any help?

I have the curliest hair you have ever seen. It's so curly that it's not ever frizzy when it's humid outside, but when I try to strighten it, well, that's a completely different story. It's always puffy. I always get puffy and frizzy and poofy and all that mixed up, but it buldges a bit and it gets majorly staticy which my mom thinks is the problem so I try hairspray and it works for about 30 minutes... I carry it with me, but then it tends to curl a tad. I have the Chi iron and the Chi spray and the Chi liquid stuff you put on your hair. I heard that silicone hair drops would help, but I'm not sure, because it's not really "frizzy" as much as it is "poofy" Would they help? What about Frizz Ease? Also, I have long hair that is one lenght. Would layers help?

I have naturally curly hair and I want it to be straight for once! Any help?

Hair sylists these days can actually fix that. Instead of getting a perm, people can get their hair chemically straightened. You may want to go into your hair dressers and ask what they think about it. It could be something new and exciting, i'd try it out. :)

I have naturally curly hair and I want it to be straight for once! Any help?

well to keep ur hair straight put some hair spray that makes it hard and stays in place

Afro curly hair ?

Why should she stop cutting here hair? That keeps the ends clean.

Celsin Blue also works great for anykind of hair. I reccommend that...or go to a beauty store and ask there.

Afro curly hair ?

u should probably stop cutting your hair!!

Afro curly hair ?

mane and tail is a good product

Afro curly hair ?

Straighten it .

Afro curly hair ?

Yes natural hair. Although everyones hair responds differently to products, here's what I use on my hair as well as some of my clients:

Motions products such as their line of shampoos and conditions. As well, hair mayonnaise and carrot oil stimulates growth.

pink lotion hot oil treatment - works really well for strengthening the hair

Ramoni Leave in hair conditioner - which helps to strengthen the hair

Here's some things that you can do to try an eliminate the dandruff:

- tie your head at night because we lose a lot of moisture from our hair while we sleep

- when you shower, wrap your hair in a towel as that prevents the thining and breakage from the steam

- drink more water (not only for promoting smooth skin but also promotes healthy hair)

- eat more fruits and vegatables

- avoid hair oil that contains petroleum as that does nothing but cut out the hair and stunt growth

I hope this helps

Afro curly hair ?

my god! stop cuttin it every four weeks

Afro curly hair ?

- If you are not styling your hair it is safe to cut it every 6 to 8 weeks. A half inch each time will ensure that you eliminate any split ends and allow your hair time to grow. Be patient- curly hair grows slowly because it naturally makes the hair appear shorter (about 3-5 inches depending on how curly your hair is).

- Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel, a leave in cream, and conditioner at the minimum.

Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sodium laureth sulfate or anything close to that). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone are examples). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse with cold/cool water.

- Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it wil disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair with your fingers. Make sure gel is distributed everywhere in your hair. If you use too much you can always scrunch out the cruchy texture later.

- Use paper towels or an old t-shirt to gently scrunch some of the water out (generic towels can make hair frizz). Then let your hair air dry or wait ten minutes and then use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Do not touch the hair while it is air drying or it will frizz!

- Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Desert Essence Organics Italian Red Grape Conditioner (found at health food/organic stores). The combo of products that I use daily is L'Oreal Out of Bed Weightless Texturizer (comes in a black-colored tub) and then Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Gel but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! Hope this helps!

Keeping curly hair shiny?

does anyone know any good products that can be purchased from walmart that will keep curly hair shiny? whenever i wear it curly, it gets dull looking. any tips?

don't suggest panteene products. they're bad for your hair!

Keeping curly hair shiny?

pantene is NOT bad for your hair!!!! I have been using it since I was about 7 and my hair is always shiny, healthy, and beautiful! not to mention it smells great!

to answer your ? I would say Bed Head products, they cost more but they work really well!

Keeping curly hair shiny?

i want to know too....my hair is super curly, you might want to look at the article in the december january issue of seventeen...see if any of those tips work for you

Keeping curly hair shiny?

Moisture is the key here, especially since it's getitng cold outside. Get your hair trimmed regularly. Condition after every shampoo. Hot oil treatments also help. Drink lots of water, eat healthily, exercise, take multi-vitamins.

As far as products, sounds like you may benefit from a shine serum or an oil. Frizz-Ease and Citre Shine make good shine serums. they also helps with frizz if you apply them to your soaking wet hair. If you want to use an oil, start with something light like jojoba or sweet almond oil. If your hair is really thick, you can use heavier oils if you want, like coconut oil, avocado oil, hemp seed oil. Virgin or cold-pressed oils are best. Almost any oil that you can cook with can be used in the hair to add moisture. These oils can also be used for hot oil treatments.

Hope this helps.

Perm... on curly hair?

I have curly, frizzy, thick hair, that goes down to about my shoulders. Currently I either straighten or scrunch my hair with gel and mousse. I've been thinking about getting a perm, and that way I can get the control of my mousse, but... without the crunchiness. Hahahaha. Has anyone with curly hair gotten a perm, and how has it turned out? Will I still be able to straigten it, if the mood strikes me? And, since I play volleyball, will it add to the frizziness if I put it up in a ponytail... and then sweat? Any help is appreciated.

Perm... on curly hair?

Perms somewhat straighten curly hair, it will not make it into defined curls.

- Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now well defined and healthy. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life! But if this is completely disinteresting to you, disregard.

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blow dryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a micro fiber hair turban/old t-shirts (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

- The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygienic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sulfates). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (avoid these- ingredients will end in -xane, -conol, or -cone). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair. Then let your hair air dry or use a blow dryer with a diffuser.

- Use a cheap, silicone free conditioner to scrub your scalp such as Suave naturals or Vo5. Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner (salon) or Nature's gate\Desert Essences conditioners (health food stores) for your hair. I recommend using a gel (LA Looks, Herbal Essences, La Bella) over a leave in (L閳ユ┉real Out of Bed Instant Texturizer). Experiment with whatever products you wish, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

- You may be able to get away with some silicones (such as amodimethicone) if you clarify with a sulfate free shampoo. Try Devacurl no-poo (salon) or Cream of Nature (drug store). Feel free to find your own but always check the ingredients for sodium/ammonium lauryl/laureth sulfate.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! I hope you consider this- email me if you have any questions!

I need help with curly hair!!!!please open!!?

Wow is that you? your hair is beautiful!! oh,you're pretty too.

If your talking about how it goes poof! i can help you there.

Apply mousse or a light pomade to your hair after you've washed it.

When you blow dry your hair make sure you're combing/brushing it through. get a friend to help if needed. If you want a straighter look with out actually straightening you hair press the brush, under the hair, to the blow dryer,on top of the hair, and slowy move it down. It wont be perfectly straight and it doesnt always work on everyone. Always blow dry your hair down. Move down with the dyer, not up.

When rinsing your hair use cold water or the coldest you can handle, coldwater makes the hair look slicker; less frizzy/poofy.

I need help with curly hair!!!!please open!!?

It's the same picture. But to do that look, maybe like scrunch your hair with mousse or a curl scrunching gel. You can also use that herbal essences shampoo 'totally twisted' to show off your curls. Good luck!! 閳?br>

I think you might want some of that Frizz Serum! John Frieda do it, and that's a good name. Basically it will give you smoother and more relaxed hair shafts, so it will be as calm as it when it's wet. The longer your hair is, the less curly it will be as the weight of the hair will lessen the curl, but only a slight amount. I have boring flat straight hair, people say they envy me but I dunno, I'd like to have big sexy hair! I think its a classic case of us always wanting what we cant have, but if you want something enough it is't out of reach! Okay, Im getting a bit deep there and we're only talking about hair.. haha xx

Curly or straight hair for mixed race baby?

My husband is Black/Native American and I am Mexican. Our son has curly hair when it is wet and mostly straight (a wave or two in the back) when dry. Did anyone with a mixed race child experience this? When older, did his/her hair turn out curly or straight?

Curly or straight hair for mixed race baby?

His hair would most likely be curly. I worked with alot of biracial kids at a primary school and about 90% or even more of the biracial kids have curly hair.

Curly or straight hair for mixed race baby?

I am creole and my husband is Irish. We have twins. My daughter has straight hair and my son's hair is mostly straight with a soft flip up. Report It

Curly or straight hair for mixed race baby?

I am white and my boyfriend black, we have a 9 month old girl and she has very little hair at the moment. In front and on top of her head it's mostly straight and at the back 3 little curles. I think it will all get curly eventualy when it gets longer but now it looks more straight than curly..

Curly or straight hair for mixed race baby?

most mixed kids have curly hair as they get older.

yes

Can I get Curly hair like Vanessa Hudgens With A Perm?

Maybe you should go to the hair dresser

Can I get Curly hair like Vanessa Hudgens With A Perm?

yeah, definitely you can do that with a perm. Make sure when you do it that the stylist doesn't wind the perming rods all the way up your hair so it doesn't show when it grows out, and use large ones. 1 3/4 to 2 inches in diameter would be good, but of course, vary the sizes for the crown and base of your head. Also, bring a picture in so she can see what she's supposed to do.

Best of luck!

Can I get Curly hair like Vanessa Hudgens With A Perm?

no;; not with a perm.

a perm gives you more of a tight-beachy wave-look.

try curling it with a 2" curling iron.

or try finding an iron that looks swirly [not sure what its called]

also use lots of hairspray and gel.

hope i helped and good luck!

Can I get Curly hair like Vanessa Hudgens With A Perm?

No no no dont get a perm. I have the finest straightes hair and always tried to get perms but the stylist would always talk me out of it. When I finally did get one I learned they were right. Its not the looks I was going for. Your hair will be damaged and dry and the curls wont be so big and lose, even if you just get a body wave. The best way to get that looks is by blow drying with a diffuser (if you have curly hair) or setting it with jumbo hot rollers. If you have thick hair you can get layers and curl it with a 1" curling iron but it will take years. Dont get a perm.

Can I get Curly hair like Vanessa Hudgens With A Perm?

you should be able to because that's how my hair looks like and my friend wanted it to look like my hair and she got a perm it was like mine, but it only has to be a loose perm because if you have a tight perm it will be too curly.

Can I get Curly hair like Vanessa Hudgens With A Perm?

i think you might be best to curl it at home with curling irons you could try a very loose spiral perm i guess

I have curly hair and need help!?

i have naturally very curly hair. my hair always looks damaged! i have never dyed it, and dont straighten it that often, maybe 1 or 2 times a week. is there a miracle product or a technique to make my hair look healthy with no fizz and curly/wavy without major damage?

I have curly hair and need help!?

There is no miracle product. But Pantene Pro V shampoo helps (you can get it in any drug store. Ask the person that works in the Cosmetics aisle for which one is best for you). My hair is naturally very curly too and I use Pantene. It helps a lot with make my hair look healthier and smoother, especially since I dye my hair A LOT.

Hope it helped =]

I have curly hair and need help!?

well i have curly hair too! i honestly would just straighten my hair like maybe once a week. curly hair seems more vulnerable to the heat. use herbal essence and it looks bouncy and healthy!!!

I have curly hair and need help!?

Try putting some mousse after you wash your hair. Or u can use serum..Or leave on conditioner. ;)

I have curly hair and need help!?

I have naturally curly hair, too. I straighten it all the time! My hair gets a lot of damage, so I usually wash it every other day. It's not healthy to wash your hair everyday, because it takes away some of the natural oils that are essential to healthy hair. When I do decide to leave my hair curly, I use John Frieda serum. It's dirt cheap, and I found it at a drug store. Try it. Maybe it'll work for you the same way it works for me! Good luck!

I have curly hair and need help!?

try the leave in conditioner infusium.

I have curly hair and need help!?

herbal essence

I have curly hair and need help!?

I use lots of oils in my hair now. I just went to walgreens and bought SUPERGRO. it has vitamen E. in it..

a trim wouldn't hurt at all especially if your hair is delicate

every two months get a half inch to an inch chopped off to get rid of damaged hair.

try to straighten it even LESS. and use Frizz-ease

or BedHead

uhmm before and after you straighten it use an oil sheen spray to protect your hair..

you could go to Sally's Beauty Supply and get a product that enhances your curls.=] just ask the counter person

use gel..

if you just want STRAIGHT HAIR go spend the money and get it permanently relaxed PROFESIONALLY OR get a perm.

I have curly hair and need help!?

Well firstly, you shouldn't straighten your hair twice a week. (more like once in a month) I dont know if there is any product or technique to make hair look good. Use shampoos, and conditioners, and brush your hair often. Dont use sooo much detangler cause it makes your hair greasy.

I hope this helped!!!

I have curly hair and need help!?

Wash it with conditioner instead of shampoo and it won't get so frizzy ,it will get clean and won't look greasy - I got this advice from my stylist. Then use a good gel or other product before you style it.

good luck :]

Uneven curly hair and frizz control??

I have curly/wavy long hair. The left side of my head curls very well and the right side of my head just waves w/ a few curls... Anytime I let go and wear my hair curly it frizzes and looks weird due to the 2 degree's of curliness. Any suggestions on how to get both sides to look at least somewhat symetrical and to tame the frizz??

Uneven curly hair and frizz control??

I just recently started wearing my hair curly. I started blowing my hair out years ago. Then when ceramic flat irons became all the rage, I started using it every day to make my hair as flat as a board. The reason why I did this was because when I tried to wear my hair natural, it would become frizzy and poofy. I had recently had my hair cut, and asked my stylist how to wear it natural, because straightening my thick hair everyday was becoming too time consuming. My stylist used Redken fresh curls spray gel on my hair, then used a diffuser to dry it. She only flat ironed my side bangs. I was so pleased with how my hair turned out, that I bought the spray gel, and used it when I went away the following week. I just wash and condition (I've been using pantene color revival shampoo and herbal essenses totally twisted conditioner), blot my hair with a towel, spray the stuff on my hair and LEAVE IT ALONE!! Touching it too much creates frizz, and nobody wants that. The spray gel works with or without a diffuser. Whats great is that you don't even have to buy the whole line of products. Biosilk silk therapy also works very well, I actually use it along with the fresh curls. I have actual ringlets now that I've been getting a lot of compliments on.

Uneven curly hair and frizz control??

No problem, hope it works for you : D Report It

Uneven curly hair and frizz control??

Uneven curly hair and frizz control??

moisturize to stop the frizz, try putting olive oil on your hair over night once a week and wash it out in the morning. use a really good conditioner every time you wash you hair. i'm not sure about the different curls but i hope i helped with the frizz part.

Sometimes straight, sometimes curly hair?

Okay so, as a baby my hair was really curly. Now, muchh older and my hair is more wavy and realllyyy long. I used pantene Pro-V straight and sleek shampoo, hoping my hairs becomes smoother and straighter. but instead, everytime i use it with the conditioner and dry it the next morning my hair is completely curly. am i doing something wrong? should i change my shampoo?

Sometimes straight, sometimes curly hair?

I have a similar situation to you. My hair has always been curly, but over the last few years the top section is more sort of frizzy. The underneath is very curly.

I find that sometimes I can make the top section go curly and sometimes straight, sometimes with products, sometimes not so much. But it rarely does the same thing twice.

Everyone's hair is different and I think that as the products you are using clearly are not working for you (even though they might for someone else) you need to try something else.

Go to a salon who will help you select something for your hair. Salons usually charge a fortune for their products, so make sure you can take it back if it doesn't work or get them to suggest another high-street product.

Also, you have curly hair - the product won't make it straight just like that, you have to work at it. I'm not sure what you are doing when you dry it, but you need to be co-ercing your hair to go straight whilst you are drying it. Try using a large roll brush, or flat brush. For special occasions use straighenting irons too (but they are harsh on your hair, so take care)

Good luck.

Sometimes straight, sometimes curly hair?

I use the same thing but I also have the straighting moosse which helps alot.

Sometimes straight, sometimes curly hair?

that is strange.

i have curly hair too and i also use the same shampoo as you, but it works on my hair. maybe you should switch shampoos to see if another works better for you. it may be that or it could be just your hair type.

Sometimes straight, sometimes curly hair?

while your drying it.. use a flat brush [not one of those rolly looking ones] and dry it running the brush strait down your hair.. this should help a little bit. and before u go to sleep straitin ur hair with a straightner [dont straighten it all the way jsut to get most of the waves and curls out] and in the morning brush your hiar agin and straightin it.. it will be perfect.

Sometimes straight, sometimes curly hair?

duh, its not working, so change it, try john freida frizz ease straightening shampoo nd conditioner

Sometimes straight, sometimes curly hair?

take your shower in the morning and blow dry your hair straight... all you have to do is put the dryer under the section of hair you want straight and go down it the whole length with a brush

I have curly thick hair?

My hair is really thick, curly and very big with lots of volume a little bit below shoulder length and I'm always using a comb because I have to use a big tooth comb and lots of hair gel. I'm white and my parents both have straight hair and I came out with thick curly hair. I need to know any suggestions on what I should do to take better care of my curls... I use a difusser, gel, and a comb, but when I'm outside where I live it gets really hot with tons of humidity and I just want my curls to stay defined all day any suggestions?
