my daughter's hair is so thick and curly and no matter what i use on it, it always looks dry and i cannot seem to get it to straighten out..trust me i'm not complaining b/c i would love to have the same grade of hair she has but sometimes i would love for her to wear it straight...any suggestions would be appreciated....

My daughter is mixed (mexican/african american) and i use Pantene oil cream moisturier for relaxed and natural hair. It works alright. But i tried a boot-leg remedy. I got an empty spray bottle filled half way with water and the other half with conditioner, shake it up and it works great.

My sister uses on her daughter that is part aferican american something called curite shine. ITS REALLY GOOD. My neices hair is so stinkin curly, and this helps a LOT.

My goodness! I'm not an African-American, but she's only 2 years old. I don't know how often you wash her hair, but try every other day, and use a conditioner. If she has thick, curly hair, why straighten a baby's hair? When she's old enough, I'm sure she'll start experimenting on her own.

My daughters hair get like thst too. i try to let it go for a while then wash it with very small amount of shampoo. after that use lots of conditioner and even a leav in conditioner. it work for me

Use cream of nature shampoo and conditioner. Add lots of oil, section it off and braid it up. When she gets oler, mayber 4 or 5, then have it professionally straightened by someone who knows how to use the right amount of heat (no hard press). Make sure they always deep condition before straightening. My daughter has this kind of hair. Now that she gets it professionally straightened its sooo much easier. The press lasts about three weeks as long as she doesn't get it wet.
