Curly--->Straight hair?

I have semi curly hair, and I hate it, I want straight hair.

I am a guy so straight irons are out of the question lol...how can I get straight hair? In this day and age, as a teen, curly brown hair seems obsolete =(

Go to a salon %26amp; ask about having it relaxed. From what I remember, it's a perm-type solution that they comb through to relax the curl. That was years ago, for me though. I've learned to deal with my curls!

perm you hair if you have short hair it will take a short time. they put white solutin in your hair. ask not to put it near your scalp because it will burn

Theres the option of getting your hair chemically straightened. My hair is chemically straightened and i relly like it coz i can finally wake up in the mornings and just leave my hair as is!

It might cost you anywhere between $70-$150, depending on where you go. It costs practically the same as a straightening iron...but this lasts until your hair grows it out or the minimum of 6 months that it should last.

However, once youve gotten it permanently straightened, there are some rules to help maintain it.

I know i coudnt shampoo within the first 3 days...so only conditioner. You also cant dye your hair, use hairdryers/heat styling and you cant plait, braid, tie it up etc.

You could straighten your hair, it's not just for girls... unless your hair is too short, that is... But you could blow dry it, which won't make it stick straight or anything, but it won't be so curly. But I think you should learn to like your curly hair. Some girls like it.

well..if you don't want to chop it all off..then i would go to a hairplace or salon and get it relaxed.

it basically means just taking the curl and frizz out of your hair.

It only last for awhile thought..so it would be a thing you would have to keep up.

there's nothing wrong with using a flat iron...i'm a guy and i use one, it's no big deal.

First of all, are you sure you will look better in straight hair? To make sure, why don't you ask your stylist to iron your hair with a flat iron first? See if you like the look. If you do like it, then you can always have it permanently straightened. However, it will only last six months. I had mine done and i love it! I think you should go for it.

try out some hard gel or if u hate that than try blow drying your hair with a flat brush.

You have a mixture of hair from both parents. I have the same mixture and I go with whatever my mood is because I'm blessed to be able to make the choice...you are too.

A professional hairstylist would be the best person to consult because you either would be prompted to go with one or the other, straight or curly. Either way you'll probably look nice, it's your choice and they'll be delighted in helping you decide.

Curly hair is not to be considered obsolete if that's what you were born with. Just like straight hair could not be considered to be obsolete.

Just be who you are...it'll keep you in a STAND OUT POSITION..and a leader in your own right.

The choice to wear your hair straight or curly would be considered a "TREND", and are only for a season.

If it is said, and you agree with them, from the, " FASHION WORLD," that for this summer, 2007, everybody should adopt wearing their hair straight or vice verse; wearing purple hair for the fall or orange hair for Halloween is also considered a trend.

Wearing your hair long or short is considered fashionable, and has a lot to do with your choice and articles of clothing to go along with your chosen hair style.

All you have to do is blow dry your hair after showering. I don't know if you would like blow dryong -- since your a guy, but the heat from the dryer make your hair straight.
