First, have a cut that is a little past your shoulders, because if it is too short, it will poof out too much, but if it's too long it will be too hard to handle with it. So get a frizz control serum and smooth it in your hair after you shampoo and condition. Then, use a curl activator. I reccomend using Herbal Essences Totally Twisted curl boosting mousse. (The purple kind). Hope I helped! Good luck!

cut it off but since that is not an option try thinning it out getting rid of the thickness.they have a pomade that works really well.

buy a styling cream and when you get out of the shower put it on and let it dry normally good luck

Buy a good shampoo and conditioner either from your salon such as redken or biolage or if you prefer to use the cheaper stuff, dove smooth and straight will work well and there is that new product line available with the funny commercials that make fun of all the wild hair problems. Try one of those.

Hey, get an anti-frizz serum. I'd recommend L'oreal's anti-frizz serum. Always helps!

My hair is the same and really long. I use the Chi flat iron on it everyday and it takes me lass than 10 minutes. I usually wash my hair at night to save time because it is so thick and takes awhile to dry.

Use a shampoo and conditioner for frizzy hair. Then blow dry it or use a ceramic hair straightening iron. Ceramic doesn't damage the hair.

I also have frizzy unruly hair and I usually put an anti-friz cream in my hair and then straighten it, but when I don't have time, I would wash it the night before and put some anti-friz cream and then braid like 10 regular tight braids. I would sleep with it over the night and in the morning, just in case it is still a little bit wet, I would blow dry my braids until they extremely dry, which takes about 30 min. Then when you take out your braids you get really pretty non-frizzy wavy hair. Good Luck.

You should products that contain silicone based ingredients, which sort of helps shield the hair against frizz. It's really good to use especially around the summery months as the heat rises. Another thing that may be useful ( though you prob shouldnt use both at the same time, it would be more of a one or the other situation) is an anti-humectant. The only brand I can think of right now that makes one is called Kera-Care and it is just a humidity blocker which really helps to cut down on the frizz. OR if you are willing to spring for it, you could chemically straighten it (I recommend going for the CHI transformation, which infuses your tresses with silk proteins which relax the hair cutting down on the frizz and the curl. For about 6 months, your hair will be so much straigher; I love it!
