pantene is NOT bad for your hair!!!! I have been using it since I was about 7 and my hair is always shiny, healthy, and beautiful! not to mention it smells great!

Moisture is the key here, especially since it's getitng cold outside. Get your hair trimmed regularly. Condition after every shampoo. Hot oil treatments also help. Drink lots of water, eat healthily, exercise, take multi-vitamins.

As far as products, sounds like you may benefit from a shine serum or an oil. Frizz-Ease and Citre Shine make good shine serums. they also helps with frizz if you apply them to your soaking wet hair. If you want to use an oil, start with something light like jojoba or sweet almond oil. If your hair is really thick, you can use heavier oils if you want, like coconut oil, avocado oil, hemp seed oil. Virgin or cold-pressed oils are best. Almost any oil that you can cook with can be used in the hair to add moisture. These oils can also be used for hot oil treatments.

Hope this helps.
