I really like Vanessa Hudgens hair, (her long curly hair), and alot of people say I should just use a large barrel curling iron or watever, but I think it'll be less work if the curls already exist, so i was wondering if anyone knows what kind of perm i should tell my hair stylist. i want my hair to be curly lik these.. i posted pic links:

yeah, definitely you can do that with a perm. Make sure when you do it that the stylist doesn't wind the perming rods all the way up your hair so it doesn't show when it grows out, and use large ones. 1 3/4 to 2 inches in diameter would be good, but of course, vary the sizes for the crown and base of your head. Also, bring a picture in so she can see what she's supposed to do.

a perm gives you more of a tight-beachy wave-look.

try curling it with a 2" curling iron.

or try finding an iron that looks swirly [not sure what its called]

also use lots of hairspray and gel.

No no no dont get a perm. I have the finest straightes hair and always tried to get perms but the stylist would always talk me out of it. When I finally did get one I learned they were right. Its not the looks I was going for. Your hair will be damaged and dry and the curls wont be so big and lose, even if you just get a body wave. The best way to get that looks is by blow drying with a diffuser (if you have curly hair) or setting it with jumbo hot rollers. If you have thick hair you can get layers and curl it with a 1" curling iron but it will take years. Dont get a perm.

you should be able to because that's how my hair looks like and my friend wanted it to look like my hair and she got a perm it was like mine, but it only has to be a loose perm because if you have a tight perm it will be too curly.
