Using hair products for straight hair on curly hair...?

I've heard that if you use hair products for straight hair on curly hair, your hair will be less curly... Is that true?

I have straight hair, and I use curly shampoo. It makes it wavy, so I guess vice versa it works, too.

Not if your trying to straighten it. I have naturally curly hair that I straighten in the winter and I have never had an issue going from different products... if you're trying to wear your hair curly and using straightening products, you might see less curl though

I think it depends on whether or not the product is intended to aid in the straightening of hair, or if it adds volume to straight hair. If it's the former, it could help lessen your curl, I would think, but if it's the latter, it's probably going to frizz you out. It does my hair, anyways.
